Description: Near city beside the river Piray, in the region of The tropical Plains, to the east of the mountain range of the Andes. It is together to the rest of Bolivian cities for a net of railroads and highways; it is also communicated with Argentina and Brazil. It is a center producing of bovine livestock, cotton, cane of sugar, coffee, tobacco, rice, fruits, vanilla and corn as well as textile, liquors, derived products of the tobacco and making. It has industrial plants to refine petroleum and sugar, and with locations of petroleum and natural gas. It has an university and a bacteriological institute.
