Noel Kempff Mercado National Park is a national park in the north-eastern portion of the Santa Cruz Department, Province of Jose Miguel de Velasco, Bolivia, on the border with Brazil. Noel Kempff Mercado National Park spans 15,234 km² (5,880 mi²) in the northeastern corner of the Bolivian department of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. One of the most biologically diverse areas in the world, Bolivia is known for its diversity in climate, fauna and flora. Weather in the general area is very hot and humid throughout the year, with abundant rainfall reaching roughly 1500 mm.
